In the 1990s, T.Wayne Smith was a rookie system installer at a local security firm. He enjoyed learning all he could about being a top security technician – and gained that knowledge quickly by crawling under houses, pulling wire and generally performing programming security systems and other duties. As he was honing these skills, he realized that he enjoyed the customer-service aspects of his job the most…being involved in installations and personal contact with the clients.
A few years later, T. Wayne was promoted to a coveted sales position, where he delivered record-breaking performance as their top salesperson. Then, the local firm was bought by a corporate security giant. Though he was offered a role within the new company, he realized he wanted to continue providing the same high-quality, personalized service that he had for 15 years in the industry…and the only way he could provide that level of service and support was to go out on his own and open his own business. That day, Industrial Fire & Security Services (IFSS) was born.
IFSS has grown into a renowned security solutions company that provides unparalleled customer service to clients across the Carolinas, including Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro, Asheville, Concord, Fort Mill, Rock Hill and Columbia.
